Rob Couturier



Rob Couturier is President and Founder of Summit Electric Ltd. Rob began his electrical career as a graduate of the Electrical Trade Program from the College of New Caledonia in Prince George, BC, in 1996. He started in residential and commercial installations, which included hospitals, schools and health care facilities. He later moved into the industrial field of installations for Oil Fields, MDF Plants and Sawmill construction, as well as, OSB maintenance. This gave Rob vast knowledge of all aspects of the electrical trade and has made him a specialist in all areas of the business.

Since founding Summit Electric Ltd. in 2004, Rob has taken on a management role that includes estimating, designing, project management and the daily operations of the company.

Rob resides with his wife and four children in Quesnel, British Columbia.

Trevor Streek

VP of Operations/Owner


Trevor Streek is the Vice-President of Operations for Summit Electric Ltd. Trevor began his electrical career as a graduate of the Electrical Trade Program from the University College of the Cariboo in Kamloops, BC, in 2000. He has an extensive background in sawmills, pulp and paper, mining and the oil and gas sectors.

Trevor has worked as a Project Manager and has directed projects from the ground up and is comfortable supervising large crews. Trevor joined Summit Electric as an owner in October of 2004. Trevor’s training has further evolved into the business & management side of Summit Electric. Currently, Trevor takes care of human resources, sales, and project management.
Trevor resides in Kamloops, British Columbia with his wife and two children

Peter Bayman

Regional Manager/Estimator – Mining Division


Pete completed his Electrical Apprenticeship in England, attaining his ticket in 1986. His work experience was in the field of Medical Equipment installations, eventually becoming the part owner of an electrical contracting company. In 1997, Peter and his family immigrated to Canada and he continued his electrical trade in sawmill construction attaining his Inter-provincial Red Seal and FSR B Status. Peter joined Summit Electric Ltd. in 2004 and has acted as a Journeyman Electrician and Project Manager. Pete’s position with company has evolved into Regional Manager for the interior of British Columbia based out of the Kamloops office. Pete is responsible for human resources, estimating, project design & management, and working with key clients.

Kevin Nelson

Regional Manager – Forestry Division


Kevin started his electrical apprenticeship with Summit Electric in 2005 and received his Electrical ticket in January 2010 from the Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops. His experience includes, but is not limited to, Industrial and Residential Installations, Crew Management and Shift Maintenance. Upon completion of his education, Kevin has continued to be a valuable asset and has progressed greatly with Summit Electrical Ltd. He is presently one of our Southern Project Managers.

Dennis Bjork

Project Superintendent


Dennis is an accomplished and diverse superintendent with over 20 years of successful experience in a wide array of functions. He received his Electrical ticket in 1992. Upon completion of his electrical education, Dennis continued with his project management education at Simon Fraser University, completing the Executive Management Program in 2007. He then went on to complete his Master Certificate in Applied Project Management and a Certificate in Advanced Strategic Project Management Practices in April 2009. Dennis has an impressive list of managerial and supervisory positions to his credit. These positions include Maintenance Supervisor and Project Manager at Canfor Quesnel, Weldwood Forest Products, Adams Lake, and International Forest Products where he oversaw the rebuild of one of their sawmill facilities.

Chris Drewcock

Project Manager


Chris received his Electrical ticket in 1996 from the College of New Caledonia in Prince George, BC. Upon completion of his education, he continued his electrical career working as a construction electrician in MDF plants and Sawmills. Chris later moved on to maintenance, working for Quesnel River Pulp, followed by Cariboo Pulp, where he took on the role of PLC programming and DCS systems. He now facilitates the Summit office, working on estimating and project design. Chris has also taken on responsibility for all capital projects in the past 4 years with Taseko and Gibraltar Mines. Chris joined the Summit team 5 years ago and is presently one of our Northern Regional Managers.

Barry DeYaeger

Project Manager


Barry received his Electrical ticket in 2006 from the Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC. He spent a majority of his apprenticeship doing industrial construction, most of which was in the forest industry. Barry then went into maintenance where he worked for West Fraser Mills, Quesnel Division for nearly 8 years. His maintenance duties included construction projects, PLC programming and shift maintenance. Barry started at the Summit Electric Quesnel office in August of 2014 where he is working on estimating and project management.

Ben Erlandson

Site A Foreman


Ben started working for Summit Electric Ltd., in 2007, as an apprentice. He received his Electrical ticket in September, 2010, from Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops. During his electrical career with Summit, he has gained valuable experience as our Project Manager on various projects. These projects include the Bander Project at Tolko Merritt, supervisor of Mill Maintenance at Interfor Adams Lake and Project Manager at our Step Feeder Project at Canfor Vavenby. Ben worked at the New Afton Copper Gold Mine project and was recently a B-Foreman at the Taseko Gibraltar Mine.

Adam Vicic

Site A Foreman


Adam started with Summit Electric in the spring of 2012 as a Journeyman with over eight years experience working in the electrical field. Before joining our team, Adam gained most of his experience from Howell Electric, where he worked on multiple large commercial jobs. Adam is very comfortable with performing installations, terminations, troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance. Adam has the ability to pull and terminate wire for electrical systems, including; power, data communications, fire alarm systems and fiber optics. He was the B-Foreman on our Suncor Voyager project working directly work Horizon North. Recently, Adam worked with Suncor on their Voyager Lighting Project as our A-Foreman. He also conducted our QA/QC process on that project. Adam is currently overseeing projects in the BC interior.

Alissa Neilsen

Administrative Assistant & Safety Administrator – Kamloops Office


Before joining Summit Electric, Alissa worked as a site manager for Petro Canada. She has an Office Administrative Certificate from the Academy of Learning in Kamloops. Alissa is responsible for supporting management, handling employees, company communication, preparing business correspondence, and organizing travel arrangements within Summit Electric.

Becky Matthews

Accountant – Quesnel Office


Becky works with the CFO in carrying out accounting duties related to any aspect of full-cycle accounting, general ledger management and financial reporting. As well, she handles receivables, assists with payables and provides administrative support within the Quesnel office. Becky has over 20 years of office administration experience, with the majority of her time spent working within the forestry and oil & gas sectors.
